Before traveling, it is best to take a complete medical check up from the medical point of view. Health problems can kill your adventure spirit. So stay fit to bask in the splendor of your journey.

Visa & Entry procedure in Nepal:
All visitors except the Indian nationals must hold passport and valid visa. Visa can be obtained at the Nepalese diplomatic missions and consulates abroad. Visa is also issued at the entry points. It can be extended at the Department of Immigration, Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu. Children under 10 years need not pay any visa fee. People willing to get entry Visa at the air port or any of the land entry points are required to fill a visa form with passport photograph.

Visa Fee - Gratis visa for all tourists who visit Nepal for 3 days or less.

Single entry- US$ 30 for 60 days
Multiple entries- US$ 50 + US$ 30
Visa will be extended subsequently for 30 days each upon payment of US$ 30 for a maximum period of 150 days in a visa year (Jan-Dec).

Safety...
With the restoration of democracy, Nepal is reliving the bygone peaceful days. State of Emergency in the nation has been lifted. Days of strikes (bandhs) have come to a halt. Maoists have come into mainstream politics which has come as a pleasant relief for those innocent rural people who were heart wrenchingly displaced by the insurgency. Reforming the past political impasse, all political parties including the Maoists are abiding by their road map to reach to a consensus for nation building. During people’s war, many regions of Nepal which used to be the major tourist destination remained restricted areas for security reason. Now travelers can just let go of their fear and insecurity and can travel around freely.

General info about living condition and traveling expenses...
As you can see in our web site that food will be provided by host family but do not expect European standard food and services. Living with Nepalese family meant you will be sharing their apartment; you will be provided furnished room and toilet to be shared between family members. Cost for transportation in Nepal is very cheap, you can ride a taxi for 6-7 kms for approx USD 2, public transfer is a lot cheaper but can tend to be uncomfortable and untimely.
